Galatians 6:7-8

Galatians 6:7-8

Do not be deceived:God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

This inescapable, God-ordained reality is that I reap from the seeds that I sow.  God is not mocked.  I cannot sow thistle seeds and expect to harvest apples.  The additional reality is that I am always sowing some seed, growing some crop.  I am continually in the process today of becoming that which I will be tomorrow.   Every day I have the choice to sow the seeds of the flesh or the seeds of the Spirit.    I do not have the choice to sow nothing.  I am always growing the flesh or growing the spirit, all the time, every day.  In my own life, I have come to know all too well the crop of destruction that the seeds of the flesh produces.  I now am daily choosing to sow the seeds of the spirit.  I am learning what real life can be when I choose to sow the right kind of seeds.
